Our class season is from August-May. Here are important dates for the 2025-2026 season…so far. More dates, such as performances, events, festivals, social activities, etc. will be added once confirmed.

ALL DATES LISTED BELOW ARE CONFIRMED AS OF July 7, 2025.

Instrument Fittings – Tuesday, July 22 and Wednesday, July 23. Sign up here.

Beginning Band Boot Camp – August 13 or 14. A special class is on August 15. See the class options here and sign up here.

First Day of Classes – Monday, August 18, 2025

No class – September 1, 2025 – Students may make up this class at a different location or day.

S’Music and S’Mores Social – September 25 (Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Guitar 3, and Bucket Drumming BasiCamp)

Guitar All State Auditions – October 16-25. Registration due by October 1.

Band/Jazz All State Auditions – October 29-November 8. Registration due by October 14.

NMMEA District 7 Middle/High School Honor Guitar – Dates and Location TBD (director nominated)

NMMEA District 6 Middle/High School Honor Band audition recordings – October 27-30 – Contact Mr. Bratcher to participate.

NMMEA District 6 Middle/High School Honor Band (Audition only). The festival is November 21-22 for participating students. Location TBD

No class – November 24-27 – Thanksgiving Break

Winter Concert Dress Rehearsal – December 9, Location – Netherwood Park Church of Christ. Beginning Band 9:00-10:30. Concert Band 10:30-12:00. Guitar 2 12:30-2:00. Guitar 1 2:00-3:30. NO CLASSES THIS DAY.

Winter Concerts – December 11 at Netherwood Park Church of Christ. All Bands 5:30. Guitar and Ukulele BasiCamp 7:30. NO CLASSES THIS DAY.

No class – December 19 -January 2, 2026

All classes resume the week of January 5, 2026.

NMMEA All State Music Festival – January 14-17, 2026 – UNM (Audition only) NO CLASS JANUARY 15.

NMMEA Jazz All State Festival – January 22-24, 2026 – Location TBA (Audition Only)

POPS Concert – March 6, 2026 (Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Guitar 3, and Recorder BasiCamp)

No class – March 30-April 2, 2026 – Spring Break

NMMEA District 6 Band Solo/Ensemble Festival – April 11, 2026 – Location – Los Lunas High School (Concert and Symphonic Band members who volunteer)

NMMEA District 7 Guitar Solo/Ensemble Festival – Location/Date TBD (Guitar 1,2,3 members who volunteer)

CAPE-NM Graduation Ceremony – TBD (Symphonic Band only)
