Our class season is from August-May. Here are important dates for the 2023-2024 season…so far. More dates, such as performances, events, festivals, social activities, etc. will be added once confirmed.

Beginning Band Boot Camp – August 22, 23, or 24. See the class options here and sign up here.

First Day – Monday, August 28, 2023

No class – September 4, 2023 – Students may make up this class at a different location or day.

S’Music and S’Mores Social – September 29 (Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Guitar 3, and Bucket Drumming BasiCamp)

NMMEA District 6 Middle/High School Honor Band – November 17-18, Location TBD (Audition only)

No class – November 20-24

Winter Concert Dress Rehearsal – December 11, Location – Netherwood Park Church of Christ. Beginning Band 1:00-2:00. Concert Band 2:00-3:00. Guitar 1 3:00-4:00. Guitar 2 4:00-5:00

Winter Concerts – December 12 at Netherwood Park Church of Christ. Guitar and Ukulele BasiCamp 5:30. All Bands 7:30.

No class – December 21 -January 3, 2024

Regularly Scheduled Thursday and Friday classes return January 4-5, 2024. However, they do not meet January 11-12. All other classes resume the week of January 8, 2024

NMMEA All State Music Festival – January 10-13, 2024 – UNM (Audition only)

POPS Concert – March 8, 2024 (Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Guitar 3, and Recorder BasiCamp)

No class – March 25-29, 2024 – Spring Break

NMMEA District 6 Band Solo/Ensemble Festival – April 6, 2024 – Location TBD (Concert and Symphonic Band members who volunteer)

NMMEA District 7 Guitar Solo/Ensemble Festival – April 27, 2024 – Location TBD (Guitar 1,2,3 members who volunteer)

CAPE-NM Graduation Ceremony – May 11, 2024 (Symphonic Band only)

Spring Concert Dress Rehearsal for Guitar 1/2 plus Beginning/Concert Bands. Specific times to be determined. May 20, 2024, Location – Netherwood Park Church of Christ

Spring Guitar Recital – May 21, 2024, 6:30 PM, Location – Netherwood Park Church of Christ (All Guitars)

Spring Band Concert – May 23, 2024, 6:30 PM, Location – Netherwood Park Church of Christ (All Bands)
